"Let's do DD!"

Well, I had no clue what she was talking about. Since I'm not from the area, Dunkin Donuts doesn't ring an automatic bell. Everywhere I turn, people sport the LL Bean logo. Lobsta rolls are posted on the McDonald's kiosks. It's a different world. (And I love it!)

Reminds me to be aware of the many technical terms that others out of my business arena box aren't akin to.

Speaking the language of the pre-K kiddo in the household is a best option. If she/he/they can understand it then everyone else is clued-in. Especially my elderly clients, who grew up in a far different era. (I normally have to turn up the volume for them as well.)

Other quick tips:

  • Make it easy for people to do business with you.

  • Pay as much attention to your accounts receivables as you do your Marketing.

  • Have a simple contract.

  • Make paying you a pleasant and painfree experience.

  • "I REALLY appreciate your business" are the best parting words.

And so it is!

Thanks for reading my blog today!
