and declare, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood."

Or, if you're more daring....put your bra outside of your shirt, like Madonna!

It isn't always the popular behavior, standing up for something you believe in, especially something controversial (like Saturday, when I asked the vendor to consider bringing a water pitcher and glasses, versus two cases of bottled water to the event.)

The woman stumbled around, telling me the water was free, that she was asked to bring it, that the alternative is too complicated to figure out. I just listened and mentioned we live in a marine environment and single-use plastic containers are detrimental to Portland's community. I also told her that I'd sent an email to Bernie Sander's event planner and requested he STOP using plastic water bottles on the podium! Just a suggestion, I say, you can do whatever you want!

I know I planted the seed, for her, and all of the others within hearing. You cannot un-know what you hear.

If it makes a difference for one person, I feel good about that.

I can't stop declaring Mr Roger's statement - and I don't want to!

Jump on board and start making waves.
