It’s the only fair and just way to measure who I am.

Since it’s so difficult for me to discern, to contemplate

and relate to who I am in the world.

Frequently. So challenging.

By my own words.

Or actions.

Nevermind thoughts.

Of inadequacy.

So, thanks to all of you.

Who spare me the insecurities,

the retribution.

The backlash of wobbly legs from fear

trepidation

insistent passion from want of more love

more tenderness

more willingness to strike out

forward, more often than sideways, or

backwards momentum

Thank you for helping me celebrate
