I typically rant and rave about the sheer LACK of customer service in our culture today.
Then I read about John, a cashier at PCC Market in Seattle's Greenlake area. According to the person standing behind a blind and deaf customer at the register, John, the cashier, took the man's hand and signed his questions, completing the transaction in a sea of smiles. Serendipitously, John had taken ASL classes in college. The gentleman, Carlos, wrote a comment in the latest PCC newsletter that I just took the time to read.
Way to go, John!
Customer Service isn't dead, as I expected. It's alive (and signing!)
Thanks for letting me know, Carlos, and giving me a new lease on life for this particular customer and John.
May your life be filled with like-situations that make your heart sign praises!
