Making History of Clutter

Who influences you the most when it comes to your household goods?

Nearly 95% of the time, I find it amounts to your family.

Why?

The majority of my women clients are weighted-down as "Keeper of the Goods." They’re the ones who take on the albatross of the heirlooms, mix 'n match china, unclaimed photographs, private letters, antique furniture, tarnished silver, handmade embroidered lace, unraveling quilts, stained doilies, wilting books,

One of my great measurements of people is how they perceive their success.

I inquire, ask, dig around, suggest, question, lead, sort out, process, and encourage people to see that they can undeniably acknowledge their success thru their lifetime of goods.

We have plenty of cheerful photos (some with people’s heads cut off,) quantity of books (sometimes the quality is there too,) clothes that were once in-style (and my very well be again someday, probably not in your lifetime, though, and certainly won’t fit any longer without a LOT of tailoring,) household goods (that you may or may not recall how they work,) jewels, furs (hm, really?) and exercise equipment (whether you used it in the last decade…or not!)

Success comes with a lot of memories. Great statements about the peace of mind, friendship explorations, expeditions across the country flow in and out of the years gone by.

There’s a sequential approach to acceptance.

Firstly, if you can recall when you got the item, it’s a great start.

  • Think about who you were with, and what they meant to you.

  • Bring up the very best scene from that time.

  • Tell someone about your treasured experience.

  • Take a picture of what you have and label it (put YOUR name on it as well, for future generations, or for the time you may not remember it’s actually you!)

  • Leave it out in the open for a time.

  • Then hand it over to someone who will covet it as much as you did when you got it

  • Know they will wear it, use it, apply it, be thrilled to have it.

SUCCESS!!

You needn’t worry that your stuff won’t be fully loved, when you utilize my Sorted Affairs service!!

If your stories aren’t being shared, how can your life become just as memorable for others?

As a business owner and a contributing member of the community, I'm committed to emphasizing a learning model, while supporting programs that foster a more just and sustainable life for all people.

This commitment comes from the belief every person has the power to create positive action while still on this planet.

Sustainable happiness means EVERYONE in the community is doing well. (tweetable!!)

Trust and well-being become a generational cycle when we share far and wide.
