So SO important to solicit allies in this scenario. Best friends who're willing to tell you to "get rid of that!" It's truly the BEST way to tackle downsizing, decluttering, organizing, or sorting your goods.
The ultimate gift to yourself is to see someone else enjoying the hell outta your cherished silk scarf that ended up at the bottom of the dog pile and has been wasting there for years.
Why not gift it to someone who's coming out of jail and needs to look smashing for an interview?
Perhaps your niece is going on a big date and needs a little accent to her wardrobe.
Maybe a woman, escaping her crazy husband could us a lift.
A young girl, gaining her confidence might need a spiffy accessory.
* Our used items could be someone else's feel-good gem.
* Cherished possessions may be the very link we have with someone who's circumstances don't match ours.
* Wouldn't it be amazing to know that so much of what we no longer use or need goes to someone who may be challenged by their life circumstances.
I suspect you have at least a bagful of crap (technical term, sorry) to donate, free-up your space so you can move around a bit more and see a few more things that could be given away.
Take a few hours and scour you space, you'd be surprised how much better you feel.
