OKAY, let's face it, we can't ALL look like Elizabeth Montgomery. Damn it!
When you simply can't contain yourself, you know it's time....share your abilities with the world (or at least the neighbor downstairs that you run into while taking the dogs out to pee.)
Tell the truth!
What're you good at?
Who are you?
When you're at your best, what does that mean?
Why wait another 24 hours...
Be courageous.
Make a call.
Write a note.
Send a text.
Email someone.
Let it out.
Or you'll pay the price of never knowing just how grand the reaction will be!!
It's not about deserving. It really amounts to spilling your guts to be real with your Self. It's self-less. Because truly, when you don't shine, you're being stingy. You aren't letting others understand what you have to offer.
We, as a culture, don't wanna look egotistical. We don't like tooting our own horn. Because people will think badly of us. Well, the reality is, you're lying to yourself when you think people don't know you're hiding something.
They just don't know it's a great thing, and not something hideous and hateful. People sense when you hold something back. Unless of course, it's a bad singing voice or terrible rhythm.
Then they'll just tell you to stop sharing. Halt you in mid-stream. Pull you off stage with the hook.
But the good stuff, oh the things that delight and thrill others, well, that needs to be OUT.
So c'mon, show us your stuff.
You won't regret it.
