It's National Novel Writing Month
I just submitted 1586 words without knowing how they came out of my head and made their way to my laptop. It's an interesting process, writing.
In one month, I'll be writing 50,000 words. A novel. Supposedly.
I sit and just start, sometimes even listening to the conversations around me at the Panera location near the Maine Mall, and typing. I watch the line grow, hear the yammering of the sweets from behind the curved plexi display cases, and write. Satisfied that I have done enough for today and can shut the lid, put on my jacket, and head out to a gathering of friends to celebrate a belated birthday.
I welcome you to join the Writers, to embrace the opportunity to be a part of something huge, a group who're committed to putting down their thoughts, ideas, stories, real life experiences, and submit it to the world.
What do ya say?
Are you game?
I thought so.
Share with me, and I'll delight in your words.
As you will in mine.
I promise.
