No, don't go to the library, (unless you're the person who needs facts and figures.)
Understand DOUBT IS NORMAL.
If you didn't have doubt, you wouldn't be living, breathing, conscious.
It's perfectly natural to have doubt. Yet, DOUBT can make you stagger sideways, take backwards steps, pee on yourself in fear, stammer, lose sight of the big picture. You could be found hidden under the covers if you allow it to take you over.
If that's what you WANT, DOUBT AWAY.
Otherwise, take another tact.
See the DOUBT, feel the doubt, KNOW DOUBT, and maybe dig around to find out where it came from ('cause it certainly wasn't from you.) Could've simply been gleaned from the past, those naysayers, something you read, that nagging sensation from god-knows-where!!
Instead of succumbing, take action.
Before you're convinced you don't GOT this, before you are competent, ready, sure, clear, fully committed, have to have a 100% back-up plan....do something regardless.
If you wait until everything is lined-up and prepared, the ship may've already left the harbor without you on it.
Take the horns, be scared, feel anxious, and upset, and restless, and unDOUBTedly insecure
AND JUMP!!
Because the regrets you will have will amount to NOT doing it.
Even if it gets completely FUCKED up, things go awry, you look bad, feeble, sorry, inept, and a prisoner of FAILURE.
* You did it.
* Pushed the SEND button.
* Made the attempt.
And survived. Perhaps even THRIVED.
To do it again, differently this time, with the adjustments, corrections, took suggestions and comments, and made it yours.
DOUBT can be totally useful.
Predictable.
Insufferable.
and should be addressed, then IGNORED, brushed aside, lit on fire, minimized.
DOUBT is there to make you go to the library...and ... OR
JUST toss doubt to the side and DO whatever you're wanting to do anyway.
