Here you are, in the last post of the series...do you feel ready to learn about the final piece and get started...good on ya!
Have cash on-hand to make change for people. Be very clear in all of your communications you require CASH.
Today, a woman came to the house with a $100 bill and I was lucky to have my coin jar to get a few dollars in change for her. Of course, I paraded her around, pointing out cute things to add to her desk and office chair purchase. I made an additional $28 sale (giving her a good deal on the other items.)
Now that you have made some money on the sale, what are you planning on doing with it?
The first post of this series encouraged you to state a goal for your sales. To have something in mind you wanted to buy or where to spend the money. I support people in putting at least half of it in savings and certainly stressing NOT to buy anything new with the income.
I like to see folks donate part of the proceeds to a good cause. This is also great to mention to the buyers, they may be more inclined to buy a few more things if some money is headed to the animal shelter or food bank.
It’s easy to spend the cash on spontaneous purchases, especially when the cash is tucked into your wallet. Bring it to the bank and make the deposit right away. It keeps temptation at bay.
Enjoy the empty space your sale created. Don’t fill it up, simply move things around to make it less glaring. Add a splash of color with a plant or bright vase. Soon, you’ll be accustomed to the new lightness.
Let me know, in the comments below, what you like about this series. If you have questions, something I didn’t cover, be sure to let me know and I’ll include it in my future ebook!
Amazing, you're done....Thanks for hanging in there and executing what you started, sold some stuff and got some hot cash in your bank account!
Until next time….go declutter!
