Isn't it about damned time you finished cleaning your room?

Never ending project, the bedroom.

The next time you look under the bed, you'll probably scare yourself. Like me, the other day, looking for the match to a shoe, I found:

  • a bottle of rancid oil, coated in enough fur to make me believe it was a mouse

  • a book to return to the library (probably having to get a bank loan to pay the fines)

  • the other boot I wasn't looking for

  • a pillow (never noticed it gone so it's heading over to the donate pile)

  • a bucket of beads

  • phone charger to my old cell (donation)

  • petrified dog treat

  • a notebook (sat and read from cover-to-cover for amusement)

  • a tea bag, adhered to the floor which took the broom handle to retrieve)

I noticed the bedside table could use some cleaning. Took about ten minutes, tossing everything on top of the bed, dusting the surface and throwing a few more things in the Get Rid of Pile. The rest is returned in their best spot for easy reach.

As I'm on the floor, the rug could use a vacuum. I remove shoes from under the dresser and cloth bags from beneath the chest of drawers. Sock baskets, fuzzy cat hair swirled around the edges gets a good clean. the baseboards are grimy, I need a wet cloth and little vinegar spray.

I see some light splatters on the walls. Looking up, I catch dust on the light fixtures and cob webs near the ceiling. Going top-to-bottom, I gather all of the spider homes and dirt.

The sheets are clean, bed freshly made. Getting dressed, I realize the winter clothes make me aware the season is passed and I can gather my spring and summer clothes from the basement. That can hold off until another day. In the meantime, I wonder where my other shoe ran off to?

Comment, please, and tell me the last time you did a Spring Clean and did you declare yourself "Done!" or not...
